Upon moving to Maryland several years ago, I was delighted to become a part of the dynamic and talented team at AFS. Before starting here, I gave back in a variety of ways through my work, including volunteering and providing administrative support at the Upper Chesapeake Hospital, instructing classes on Professionalism in Health Care and medical billing at Harford Community College, serving as a Research Assistant for a Parkinson’s disease study, and working as a Relocation Consultant for several local companies. I am a people person, and my interest in those around me is put to good use in my role at AFS.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Victor, and we will soon be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Together we have three terrific children: Jackie, a graduate of Towson University working at Morgan Stanley; Greg, a graduate of University of Maryland and a PGA Teaching Professional at Golf Tec; and Julia, who recently graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Family Science and Human Development. Victor and I recently moved into a lovely townhouse community in Gaithersburg to downsize a bit now that the kids are grown – by Fall 2019, I will have two children married!
I am an avid reader and do most of my reading on my Kindle – Still Alice and People of the Book are just two of my many favorite novels. I recently began to play (learn) golf with my son as my instructor. My husband’s career has given me the opportunity to live in many pretty areas in NJ, PA, DE and MD, and while each area has its charms, I am most fond of Delaware for my many friends there and the church community I was a part of. I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and of course my dog, Chase, a 20 lb. Lhasa poo with a charming personality and sense of humor. I look forward to continuing to grow with the AFS team and learn more about the financial planning industry and how it helps people achieve their retirement and life goals.
