I take great satisfaction in freeing clients from the complexities of wealth management and helping them achieve financial confidence. I have over 20 years of experience in the industry, working with individuals and families to preserve and enhance their wealth through comprehensive investment and financial planning.
Prior to joining AFS Financial Group in 2005, I was an advisor at a private wealth firm in McLean, Virginia and an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a national law firm.
I earned my bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Vermont and a law degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Afterward, I clerked for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court in Madison, Wisconsin. I also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) professional designation through the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Business.
At AFS Financial Group, we believe that clients benefit the most when we’re able to adopt a holistic approach to planning for them and orchestrate the various pieces of their financial lives. That’s real wealth management, and it’s why my approach addresses the full spectrum of planning issues, including investments, retirement planning, tax, insurance, estate planning, and charitable giving.
Outside of the office, I enjoy staying fit and spending time with my wife, Laura, and our son, Ryan. We get outside as much as possible, and love to hike, bike, and especially ski. Sun Valley, Idaho has special meaning for our family, and we vacation there often, but we also enjoy exploring new places, seeing new things, and eating great food.
